How is the site organised?

Our main business areas, such as research projects and the Regional Data & Intelligence Network, are organised in the tree menu at the left of each page. Browse the topic headings to find the page you want or use the search box at the top left of any page to search by keywords.

More general areas, such as our research enquiries service, staff contact details and our Observations blog are linked from the horizontal menu at the top of each page.

How do I find information on the site?

The fastest way to find information is to type keywords into the search text box, above the left-hand menu on every page. This will return search results matching the keyword(s) you entered.

By default the entire site will be searched. However, but once on the search results page, you can filter your results to specific sections of the site, information types, dates and geographical areas.

If your search returns too many results, you can refine your search by adding more keywords in the search box or choosing the search refinement options at the right of search results.
